The Attiki neighborhood in Athens

Another popular destination for investment and/or living in Athens is Attiki—a neighborhood in the northern part of Athens that is considered to be a developing area and offers a wide range of public services, parks, educational institutions, restaurants, and cafes.

One of the things that sets the Attiki neighborhood apart from other neighborhoods in Athens is its blend of old and new, tradition and modernization—an element reflected in the architectural styles that combine historic neoclassical buildings with contemporary modern homes. In the past, Attiki was a residential area for people who came to work in Athens. Over the years, it has undergone restoration and renovation, and today it offers a variety of housing options alongside a wide range of cultural and leisure activities.

The Attiki neighborhood is actually part of a larger region bearing the same name, “Attica.” This peripheral region is divided into several sub-regions and includes both parts of Athens itself and additional areas between the Aegean Sea and the Attica Mountains. Among these areas, the Attiki neighborhood has a particularly urban character and convenient access to public services, which makes it attractive to families looking for a place to settle down and live, with a supportive community and a rich cultural and leisure life, as well as to real estate investors from around the world.
