Buying an apartment: here's how it works

Step 1 – Signing the registration form and paying the registration fee. At this stage, you will pay a deposit of 1,000 euros.

Step Two – Signing the agreement and having the power of attorney notarized. You will sign the documents after meeting with the trustee, who will be responsible for the trust account throughout the process. You will then transfer the funds to the trust account as an intermediate step toward purchasing the property.

Step Three – Transfer of Ownership and Renovation. At this stage, the funds will be transferred from the escrow account to the seller’s account, and the apartment will be registered in the land registry in your name. The payments will be transferred to the contractor, and later, upon mutual agreement, the apartment will be handed over.
